We are having a party! Join us as we celebrate breast cancer awareness month. This year we are raising money for The Giving Tree. This program provides mammograms to low income women in the Houston community. A mobile clinic will travel to a medical facility in town to provide the screenings. Our goal is to provide atleast one day of mammograms... a week of mammograms would be even better! In addition, we plan to have a local chef provide a healthy cooking lesson to the women that come in for their screenings. We will also send them home with groceries and plenty of educational materials. A day of mammograms costs $2,500, a week costs $12,500.
We are very excited to be working with Ruggles on this project. If you know me, you know that I have become quite particular on where I eat and what I put in my body. Ruggles is one of a few restaurants in Houston that I wholeheartedly support (and LOVE). They are passionate about taking care of our earth and our bodies. If you have never been to Ruggles or Ruggles Green, you are missing out. Ruggles Green has a great kids menu (with real chicken strips), gluten free options and plenty of vegetarian dishes. And, their food tastes so good!
